When did you start your company?
2015
What was the best cocktail you've ever had and where was it?
Red wine in Tuscany...I wish I could remember the name!
What has been the hardest obstacle you have had to overcome when starting your business?
I am a former people pleaser. I used to always follow along with what others wanted so I would fit in. This made me feel safe and accepted. I never wanted to be the center of attention and be "that girl" so I dimmed my light so others would feel safe around me. Without realizing it, I was not being true to myself and my desires because I was too worried about how other people felt more than how I felt. I was giving my power away to others because I did not feel like I was "good enough" or like I was worthy of having everything I desired. This all changed when I got engaged and started planning my wedding. For the first time in my life I fully expressed my desires. I consider my wedding planning the pivotal point in my own spiritual and personal development journey which started in 2012. I did not let the stress and overwhelm of the process get to me and I was able to plan my dream wedding with so much ease, joy, grace, and excitement no matter who else wanted a hand in the details (well except for my hubby, of course!). For the first time in my life I did not listen to all the "should do's", "supposed to's", and have to's" I was hearing from other people. I truly allowed myself to express my desires and fully own it...wow what a feeling! We had our dreamy destination wedding in Charleston, SC which was a magical celebration with our family and friends! The transformations I experienced were so amazing and I knew it would be a disservice if I did not share these tools with other brides. That is when I decided to add bridal coaching to my life coaching business in 2017. It is such a passion of mine to witness aha moments from other brides and helping them create the wedding of THEIR dreams, not someone else's.
Have you ever thought of quitting? What did you do to get you back on track?
Let's be honest I would be lying if I said no. I am not real tech savvy so having an online business has had some ups and downs for sure, especially with learning how to use social media for branding and marketing as well as the behind the scenes stuff that goes along with owning an online business. I have a coach to keep me accountable. I continue to work on myself every day. I use the same tools I use with my clients in my daily practice to help shift my mindset, perspective, and energy. I also accept where I am at and don't allow myself to get caught up with what other people are doing. I believe there is no competition and we are all ultimately here to serve the world with our own unique gifts and that is our super power.
What do you like to listen to in your car? (podcasts, music, audiobooks, etc.)
I love listening to 80s and 90s on SiriusXM with a little hip hop at times. Solo dance parties are my jam haha!
Who is someone you look up to? (Can be famous, family… or famous family.)
Jennifer Lopez! I love her and she definitely knows all about reverse aging!
What do you like to do when you are not working?
I love going to barre classes, meditating, journaling, taking nature walks, going to the beach, watching Very Cavallari, reading, dancing, spending time with my hubby, friends, and family, and traveling.
What is something you are most proud of?
I am really most proud of who I have become and being an example of what's possible. I never would have thought I would own my own business and literally start something from scratch.
If you could give any advice to yourself 10 years ago what would that be?
It's okay and safe to be you. Believe in yourself. You are enough. You are worthy, You are capable. Self love and self acceptance are the key to everything. There is no such thing as failure. Everything is just giving you momentum in the right direction and is an opportunity to keep getting better. Keep going, you got this!
